Birth Support

$1500 Investment

*currently enrolling to become an Oregon Health Plan provider to accept OHP – updates coming soon!*
Two Prenatal Visits

Each visit is 1-2 hours. We use one to go over/build your birth plan/preferences, address your hopes, questions, concerns and make sure you’re fully informed of all your options and rights. The second is used to practice different laboring positions (a lot of these can be quite comfortable and helpful during the 2nd and 3rd trimester as well) and mental comfort and coping techniques. During this second visit I can also help with anything you might need whether that’s putting together a bassinet, organizing baby’s closet space, etc.

Care Provider Visit

Aside from these two visits, I’ll also be available to go with you to an appointment with your care provider. I believe this helps ensure everyone is informed and on the same page to give you the best possible care.

Virtual Support

I’ll be available via text or calling from the moment you hire me as your doula until our contract is complete.

On-Call

Beginning 2 weeks from your due date, until your angel’s arrival, I’ll be on call 24 hours a day. This means I don’t go more than an hour outside your birth place, my gas tank is full, my birth bag is prepped and I am ready to go as soon as you need me, day or night.

Birth Support & Attendance

When the time comes I’ll meet you wherever you choose, whenever you would like my support. This can be at home before you head to your birthing location or at your birth place of choice (if not also at home) and remain by your side for any emotional and physical support you and your family need. I’ll ask questions, make sure you stay fully informed, help keep you grounded and as comfortable as possible through massage, counter pressure, affirmations, or whatever is most comforting and grounding to you personally.

Documentation or Photos

I take notes, as I’m able, on what happens during your birth. If you desire and I’m able to, I can also take photos on your or my phone of the labor and/or birth for you to have. I find the moment a parent lays eyes on their child for the first time is incredibly sacred and parents love looking back at that moment captured in time.

Two Postpartum Visits

The first visit usually occurs during the first week back at home and then again within the first month or so. During these visits I assist in helping you settle in at home with the newest member of your family. We’ll check in about your birth experience, how the transition into your new normal is going and then I help with whatever you may need that day. I can help with household chores, meal prep or cooking, keeping an eye on the baby while you shower or have some personal time, whatever is most nourishing to you.

Resources

Lastly, but certainly not least, you’ll receive information and resources tailored specifically for you and your family’s needs.
